İbrahim KOCAER

Honorary President

İbrahim Kocaer, the founder of Kocaer Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., was born in Denizli in 1939. He started his business life in the early 1960s and until 1984 he made partnerships in various companies in the iron and steel industry. In 1984, Kocaer Çelik established his company in Denizli. He played an important role in the investment of the A1 Factory, which was completed in Izmir in 1996, and realized its establishment, and continued his support in all matters as our Honorary President in the following period.

Hakan KOCAER

Chairman of the Board

Hakan Kocaer was born in Denizli in 1972. He started his career in the iron and steel industry in 1990 and took part in all departments and processes of the Company. He has continued to work in the factories established in Izmir since 1996 and has taken an active role in the growth of the Company with the strategic decisions he has taken in line with his vision.

Orhan Timurhan

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors

Orhan Timurhan was born in Adapazarı in 1970 and graduated from Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Administration in 1992. Orhan Timurhan, who started his career at İktisat Bank in 1994, worked as Finansbank A.Ş., Fiba Factoring A.Ş. and Odeabank A.Ş. He started as General Manager in May 2018 in Kocaer Çelik San. ve Tic A.Ş., as a Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors since August 2021.

Ferda Besli

Member of the Board

Having more than 30 years of experience in Corporate Finance, project finance, loan and bank relationship management, and strategic marketing, Besli is the founder and CEO of Besfin. He started his career at Akbank T.A.Ş in 1987. He served as the Banking Inspection Board and Branch Manager, then the Head of the Corporate Banking Department, and the Head of Commercial and SME Banking.

Dr. Yılmaz Argüden

Member of the Board

Dr. Yılmaz Argüden is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ARGE Danışmanlık, the best-known Turkish management consultancy company in the world for its creative and innovative management strategies and social contributions. Argüden was selected among the 100 Global Leaders of the Future by the World Economic Forum for its efforts to improve the quality of life.

Mehmet Çakmur

Member of the Board

Mehmet Çakmur, who graduated from METU Industrial Engineering, started his professional career in 1990 and worked in various positions in iron and steel industry. In 2017, he established M Steel Ltd., which provides trade, consultancy and agency services in iron and steel, which still continues its operations. Çakmur is also the vice chairman of the board of directors of the Steel Foreign Trade Association (ÇDTD), which he pioneered the establishment of, and a board member of the Flat Steel Exporters and Industrialists Association (YİSAD).

Fatma Füsun Akkal Bozok

Independent Board Member

Füsun Akkal Bozok received her bachelor's degree from Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration, her master's degree from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and her PhD degree from Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration. She started her professional career at Arthur Andersen Audit Company.

After taking many leading roles in the Koç Group, she is currently an independent board member at Ford-Otosan, TAT Gıda and Bizim Toptan and Gözde Venture Capital. She is a member of TKYD, TIDE, Accounting Professionals Association and Boğaziçi Alumni Association. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the 30's Club and a mentor of the Association of Women in the Board of Directors.

Tuğrul Fadıllıoğlu

Independent Board Member

Tuğrul Fadıllıoğlu graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1982. After working in various positions at Arçelik A.Ş. between 1982 and 2002, hHe served as Assistant General Manager at Tanı Pazarlama Hizmetleri A.Ş. between 2002 and 2004 and as General Manager between 2004 and 2009. In 2009, Mr Fadıllıoğlu was appointed General Manager at Zer A.Ş., a position he held until his retirement in 2014.

In the period 2015-2019 Fadıllıoğlu served as General Manager of Hidrotam Ltd., as member of the Board of Directors at ISM AŞ, as General Coordinator of KalDer, as member of the Advisory Board of Directors at Doğa OSGB and Founding Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of CCA Corporate Change Academy. He is currently member of Board of Directors of Arçelik Global and and member of the Advisory Board of Directors of Sistem Teknik A.Ş.

Ugur Yılmaz

Member of the Board

After graduating from METU Metallurgical Engineering Department, Uğur Yılmaz received his master's degree in Precision Casting from the same department and MBA from AITIA- Institute of Business Management.

Yılmaz started his professional career as a Steel Mill Process Engineer at ERDEMİR in 1980 and after serving in various positions, he was appointed as Assistant General Manager of Operations at İSDEMİR, which joined ERDEMİR Group in 2002. After serving in this position for 11 years, he became the Technology Coordinator (CTO) of ERDEMİR Group, responsible for the establishment of Investments, Management Systems, Production Systems and R&D, and also served as the General Manager of ERDEMİR ENGINEERING GROUP (ERENCO).

Uğur Yılmaz continued his career as General Manager at KARDEMİR, Iron and Steel Group President at Diler Holding, and MD and COO at British Steel in the UK.
