KOCAER Received the Biggest Exporter Award in the Aegean Region This Year!
KOCAER was awarded the 1st prize in the Ferrous and Non-Ferrous sector in the Aegean Region, maintaining its “the Biggest Exporter” status in the Stars of Export 2019 Award Ceremony organized annually by the Aegean Exporters' Associations (EIB).
At the ceremony where members contributing 13,3 billion dollars to Turkey were awarded, the Aegean Exporters Union Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi is of the opinion that the export performance is going well despite the negative effects of the trade war between the USA and China on the global markets, by stating “Although we exported 15 million dollars less than the previous year, our performance is valuable given the customs walls that started to rise again due to trade wars. However; this chart reveals the need to move towards alternative markets in addition to our traditional export markets in order to break the horizontal course of events. On all occasions, I repeat that export is the dynamo of our country's economy and emphasize the importance of export in our country's growth. In order to make our growth steady, we need to ensure that our export numbers increase continuously and that they are not affected by the adverse effects experienced in foreign markets.”.
KOCAER was awarded the first prize in Export in its sector thanks to its exports to 130 countries in 6 continents in 2018 and has kept it seat as the biggest exporter in the Aegean Region in its sector by contributing 190 million dollars to Turkey in 2019. On behalf of KOCAER, which continues to grow as a strong Turkish brand in the global markets, the Foreign Trade Manager Mr. Erdinç ÇOKGEZER took the prize from the President of TIM Mr. İsmail GÜLLE, the EIB Coordinator President Mr. Jak ESKİNAZİ and Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Exporters Association President Mr. Yalçın ERTAN.
